Dr. Leanna Plug

Dr. Plug is a Calgary native who completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology at the University of Calgary. After graduating, she worked for a group of Calgary Optometrists for 5 years, where she gained valuable experience fitting eyeglasses and assisting the doctors. She then moved to Oregon to attend Pacific University College of Optometry, where she spent 4 years learning about eyes. In 2012, Dr. Plug graduated with honours and joined the team at Eye Care Nanaimo.

When Dr. Plug is not seeing patients, she enjoys relaxing with a good book, eating her husband's gourmet meals, walking around local parks and spending time with her husband and two daughters. She's especially passionate about eyes, and loves meeting new patients and seeing returning patients every day. There's nothing that she enjoys more than to come up with a personalized solution to meet all of life's visual challenges.
